Visiting us for the first time?

What to expect if you attend on a Sunday:

We have a wonderful service planned for you! Dress is casual, although if you want to dress up, that is fine too! A friendly face will greet you at the door and once inside, you can stop and enjoy a chat at KCC Central, our guest information center, if you have any questions. If you have arrived a bit early, stop by Global Grounds, our café at the Kentwood Campus, or at the table in the main lobby at Wyoming, for a hot cup of coffee before you head into the Worship Center (we do ask that you refrain from taking beverages in with you).

What if I have children?

If you have little ones age two and under, you may want to enter at the door marked “G” between the playground and the large “Real Kidz” sign if you are visiting our Kentwood Campus. In that way, you will be able to make your way directly to Real Kidz City, our area especially designed for them, and drop them off with a caring Real Kidz team member.

At our Wyoming Campus, just use the main entrance and one of our team will direct you to the Real Kidz check-in.

Check in is required for all children at all our campuses for your child's safety, so if you have never attended before, you may want to plan on arriving 20 minutes prior to the service so you don’t feel rushed! A Real Kidz team member will be proudly wearing their Real Kidz t-shirt and will gladly help you with the check-in process, walk you to your child's classroom and answer any questions you or your child may have!

Student programming is also available each week, excluding the last Sunday of the month. Students join their parents in the Worship Center for the beginning of the service and are dismissed to their class midway through.

When should I arrive?

Arriving a bit early (10-20 minutes) is always a good plan if you have never attended. It will give you time to check in children, get an idea of where things are or maybe meet the campus pastor! When entering the worship center, you may want to use the seats in the center of the rows and leave the aisles open for those coming in after. If you have any other questions prior to coming to a service, please feel free to contact the church during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p.

What happens in the Service?

Each week we join together with others to hear a great message from the teaching pastor (normally, our lead pastor ... but we also have a team of pastors who we hear from as well). We worship musically with songs of praise or hear special music to help us reflect on who God is and how we can connect with Him. We take an offering from those who call this their church home. There is never any pressure to give, but rather, we hope all who choose to support the ministry at Kentwood Community Church do so joyfully from a willing heart! Giving supports the life-changing ministries we offer, bringing hope and healing through the transforming power of Jesus! We offer our best to God each week in worship and praise as a loving gift to the One who gave His life so that we could be made new in Him.

We look forward to meeting you!
