All of us go looking for answers at some point in our lives.

We have a desire to know, to understand, to find our purpose and place in the world.

There is an answer.

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.

- John 3:16 [MSG]

"God loved ...THE WORLD"
That means YOU.

Jesus loves you so much that He became fully human for 30-some years. He did this so that He could experience all that it means to be a human being. He did this, in part, so that He could truly understand what it is to "walk a mile in our shoes".

Maybe you're thinking, "It's great that He loves me ... but who is He?
Who is Jesus?"

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” Colossians 1:15 [NIV]

Understanding who Jesus Christ is, and what that means in light of having a relationship with Him, is vastly important.
There is no one like Him.

Some try to compare Him to public or historical figures like Ghandi or Mother Theresa. We want to set a reference point for comparison so we have some way to grasp His character … but the reality is, Jesus is incomparable. Wherever He went, when He spoke or took action, His words and deeds captivated all. They still do today.

Just Jesus … He alone is the source of LIFE. He is all powerful, all-knowing and omnipresent. All authority in heaven and on earth is given to Him.

Who is this man who gives life, peace, healing and hope?

He is fully God.

The other side of that, which we sometimes neglect to acknowledge, is that He also really was fully human. That fact gives us confidence and hope. Jesus showed us our potential to become like Him. He lived as the perfect example of humanity as it was meant to be. He did this so we would know, that through Him, it is possible for us to live and experience life as God intended. Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." -John 10:10 [NIV]

Perhaps the most important question to ask is, “who is Jesus to YOU?”

John, a close friend of Jesus, is the author of the passage at the top of this page. He goes on to say:

“God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.” -John 3:17 [MSG]

Putting the world right happens by restoring our relationship with Jesus. You are part of God’s loving family. His greatest and most precious creation.

Knowing this, the question becomes, “how do I begin to have a relationship with Jesus?”

If you would like to have a relationship with Jesus, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart:

“Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.”

Congratulations! To pray these words with a surrendered heart to Jesus is the beginning of the most important journey you will ever embark on: to follow Jesus. Please let us know if you’ve just made a commitment to Jesus and prayed this prayer at this email.
